Hey cooking feeds! 🍜🍽️ I've got a vacation coming up, and want to cook something new each day, so I'm looking for recipes. Can you share recipes for local dishes with me? Bonus points for: no tomatoes, relatively easy to get ingredients and recipes for things that aren't already popular world-wide :D
Here’s my mother’s potato salad recipe, which I’ve made twice in the last couple of weeks. It’s even more authentic with regular Hellman’s: www.grapevinecottage.com/food/rcp-rec...
Awesome, thanks again! I've got a few other words I can't really decipher, would you mind helping me filling in the blanks? It's mainly the ingredients (perhaps they're unfamiliar to me brand names?), and a line on the second page:
Sure! (With a few of my comments in parentheses)
1 cake fresh yeast or dry yeast
1 cup oleo (margarine)
Make 4 balls and/or they call it circles
(This one just feels like weird syntax)
And another one:
Zuchinni salad
Zukes done in ribbons (use a mandolin)
lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper whisked together
chopped Italian parsley
toasted pine nuts
Combine all ingrediants and mix.
Both look tasty! Are there set quantities you use for each ingredient, or is it all just mixing things, tasting, and adding some more of something? (I'm really, really bad at the latter, sadly).
