That would've been the fate of my wife and unborn son. She didn't miscarry, but she lost an ovary while pregnant. Docs in today's red states likely wouldn't have performed the surgery. Too quick & critical to travel. I'd have been a widower & dad of one son versus two. How awful that would've been.
