I started a community based-research project in 2012 to learn how places of worship were engaging and to get my students experiential learning. 12 years, thousands of surveys, dozens of congregation partners, and hundreds of student researchers later, and it's one month to book publication day!

I so enjoyed the very first APSA Virtual Research Meeting, #polisky friends! My sessions included so many young scholars and international scholars--loved being part of this accessible format. Great keynotes, fantastic religion and democracy working group, smart colleagues. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Would recommend!

So happy to share the cover of my new book with everyone! "Faith and Community" will be published by Temple University Press next year and I love that we got to use a cover pic of one of the churches from the research.

I don’t usually share personal news here, but “joy is not made to be a crumb” (credit to Mary Oliver) and I am ridiculously happy, in love, and newly engaged! www.honeyfund.com/site/AndyReb...

Sharing data and results at local events is one of the best parts of community-based research. Loved speaking about how political and social engagement contributes to peace in our communities for Arkansas Peace Week!

This is so brilliant. I just read it and then said no to something that was not my business.

This article is now ⭐OPEN ACCESS⭐ so you can freely read about how students taking more online classes leads to declining success and retention. Maybe not a cheerful read, but an important one. link.springer.com/epdf/10.1057...

Happening now: the #APSA2023 Awards Ceremony, where I’m receiving the Distinguished Award for Civic and Community Engagement. But the strike changed my travel plans so I’m reading Harry Potter with my boy instead. Missing my colleagues and a fancy night…but not that much. 😉

The early weeks of the semester are a great time to build rapport with our students! Whether you have the mental space to put a little or a lot of effort into that, I have ideas to share (from Ch. 4 of my book, “Connecting in the Online Classroom”): www.rebeccaglazier.net/wp-content/u....
