Here's a little bit of good news anyway.

Groundbreaking Ceremony to Connect Trail in Lynn to Nahant Beach Set for July, 11 - Bike to the Sea, Inc.biketothesea.org The project will extend the trail with curb-separated, on-street bike lanes through downtown Lynn to Nahant Beach.

This is so needed. Has always been a hugely frustrating gap in the trail.

Having biked that route...very much needed! Lynn is mostly awful for biking unfortunately.

I’ve only knocked doors in Lynn, so I believe it!

I used to bike commute through Lynn regularly, and sometimes bike Lynn Shore Drive (out to Nahant) and it's rough. Just no infrastructure aside from the Northern Strand.

Is it a separate bike path the whole way? The pedestrian and bike bridge across the Mystic is supposed to begin next year I think, to connect the Somerville community path to Everett, which would joint entire thing together out to Bedford via the Minuteman trail.

Oh I lied, the community path ends in East Somerville and doesn't go to Assembly Square. That sucks.

From Everett out to Lynn it's basically a separate cycle track the whole way with a few short on-road stretches/road crossings.
