I had never seen the dam irl or the toxic reservoir so we visited that too (photo). JC Boyle to be drained next - they are strategically draining for a number of ecological reasons. I'll try to see if there are some good posts on Copco 2 removal to share.

Another big step towards freeing the Klamath River!! This week, Iron Gate powerhouse was shut off & the tunnel was opened - releasing 2,200 cfs - draining the toxic reservoir. Ahooo!! So thankful for the tribes & tribal citizens pushing for this & all the other river warriors making this possible.
