maybe useful or maybe not but a real not-kidding tip I have for keeping house on bsky is do not drag your old twitter feuds with low follower goons over here. there are a couple I’ve hate-followed forever and it is still very hard not to dunk on their shit but it is simply a bad use of bandwidth
the rule of only punch up is a rule for a reason and frankly odds are real good nobody knows who those clowns are anyway, so all you wind up doing is advertising that brain no work so good when see loser guy on pocket screen thingy
exceptions to this rule are when someone posts something so accidentally funny that it would be a crime not to share your joy with others, or well known clown accounts who aren’t benefiting in any way from using up your oxygen
I appreciate it here that it's more likely that "famous" people will interact with us regular folks, provided it is a normal-type post or conversation.
I'm going to advise the opposite. Treat this site like you're in the Wild Bunch and let your feuds and your unwillingness to change lead to you untimely demise in a blaze of posting. There will never be a return to the good internet.
And it is not internet bandwidth, but mental. I am at a point that I listen intently and then either engage and learn, or move on. Unfortunately way too often Elvis/JFK Jr/Aliens indicate an early move on, but I do listen long enough for the “uh no” block. So shoot your best shot, but not bat shit c
