I want to ask the person who thought of this---have you ever READ a book? Do you know WHY people read books? I don't need my life turned into cliffs notes FFS
It's very handy for all those four year olds trying to read The Great Gatsby.
It's probably for people learning English.
It clearly is advertised to “maximize your reading potential” though.
Reading potential can be meant for other languages.
Given that it is marketed to adults, and given the example, that is the most likely scenario.
Given the next bit about “avoiding difficult language” I’m still going to disagree.
