I really have lost my former tolerance for "we're doomed/fucked/it's all over/they've won" takes at this point, in that they're the most dangerous attitudes one could possibly have when confronted with a truly existential political threat (which we still DO have levers to address).
Honestly these people are worse than useless at this point. Despair all you want in private, but intentionally spewing your cynicism and apathy in order to drag others down is the least helpful thing you could do when peopleās lives are literally being destroyed as we speak
If youāre one of those people that have defended this by saying, āthis is my release valveā or āpeople can unfollow if they donāt like itā - no. You donāt get to parachute into peopleās mentions to spread your despair like some social media Dementor
