Never met Kyle Behm, despite writing about his case for a decade. We wouldn't know half this stuff without him. Was devastated to learn of his death by suicide. He could pick the fight he picked bc of privilege, sure, but also bc his dad wanted to talk about his bipolar disorder--too rare.

When I first encountered this (in Denmark) it was positioned as an anti-bullying measure! Candidates for jobs with managerial responsibility had to do a psychometric screening for traits that were supposedly risk factors for bullying. Never done one for a U.S. job though (maybe due to luck).

Yeah I've seen that in the big consultancies here. What really shocked us (probably shouldn't have) when reading up on the modern history of these things were the 1) totally contradictory pitches (great for slack AND tight labor markets) 2) branding as medical exams, which is prima facie illegal
