Persian rice with tahdiq will blow your mind, its the part people fight over.

My favorite are the regional adaptations and fusions. I love potato and beet tahdig, but also tortilla. Some friends call the rice cookers with a glass lid "Persian style rice cookers" because they produce a sort of tahdig.

Potato tahdig is so good. I need to practice so I can do it myself.

The Japanese term for this food, okoge, is also their equivalent term to "faghag" in english. Since "okama" is used to refer to gay men/drag queens etc, and literally means "kettle" or "pot," it's sort of a conceptual pun. "The rice that sticks to the pot [gay men]"
