Keeping Trump out of the White House isn’t the only thing that needs doing and it isn’t enough to solve all problems facing the country & world but if it isn’t done then all those problems get exponentially worse in ways I don’t even know how to express and it scares me when people pretend otherwise
A great deal of the current complaint about Biden is "we already voted for him once, and things are still bad." Well yeah, because one vote once isn't ever going to solve things. You gotta vote again and again, and organize, and join coalitions to force systemic changes, and a dozen other things.
This is what democracy is always going to be: voting against people who want really bad things. Illiberalism is constant societal force, sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker. But you always have to be pushing back against it.
