When I was 10, the four-story brownstone in Brooklyn I spent my childhood in could have been bought for $375k. It was sold last year for more than $3 million. Yes, my youth was a lot fucking better thank you
Times weren’t better back then. You were just in your carefree youth and are missing that time now. We tend to claim that music, fashion, TV, and society peaked when you were in your teens. It’s not the world it’s you that you are melancholic about.
This time last year I was up with my best friend practicing my vows after my custom rainbow broom arrived from across the country just in time for me to jump over it the next day. Good memories. Love to the man I married, the least online normie under 40 in the world. 1 year down, a lifetime to go.
Two things can be true simultaneously:
Voting for Democrats is necessary
and
Voting for Democrats is insufficient
It’s the desire to pit these concepts against each other that creates friction where there would otherwise be consensus.
Now, why the latter is true is entirely different. Some of it is how the system is structured (moving is harder than standing still or going back); some of it is political (voters aren’t there yet), and some of it is a choice (Democrats are closed to necessary changes). But it’s an argument.
