*In Morpheus' voice* Yesss... this is what sci-fi is. This has always been what sci-fi is. Sometimes though, you have to explain an problem or idea to a teddy bear before you reach enlightenment.
I find it funny that some Internet people scream about how a sci-fi or superhero flick is political. "The old stuff that I read when I was 12 and didn't understand the world wasn't political!" They need to be sat down in front of a stuffed toy and explain the plots of their favourite books or media.
