I branched out tonight at the company reception and talked to some of the actors whose performances are moving me. Cut up with my own crew. Had some good convos with stage managers (who do SO MUCH).

We had a really great vegan cheese on our service meal today and it was oat-based, not nut-based!

My daughter taught a workshop at her university last month under contract to be paid today and she hasn’t been paid and we are both seeing red.

This is the most responsible job I’ve ever had outside of social work. I feel like I’m learning and accomplishing, and helping interns and my colleagues do the same. Collaborative work and learning is really where it’s at for me.

A friend whom I love dearly lives just an hour from where I’m working this summer and seems surprised every time I mention I’m nearby on social media. We’ve had conversations about it. I. Don’t. Get. It. (My brain is also a sieve, but just for different things, I guess.)

Worked a festival for a festival today. Lots of good food and good people. Probably some bad ones too, but they kept their distance. This dude was everywhere and made my day!

I got real sleep last night. And I ate a meal that didn’t come out of a bag or a box. Today feels so much more doable. Which is great because we’re filming and it’s the last day before tech week for all these productions.

Got through 8/10 of THE BEAR S3 and decided I can’t emotionally handle any more tonight. Every second counts, indeed.

Hats off to THE BEAR for showing complete credits at the end of each episode and not holding off until the last one.
