I think American business culture is very conflict averse and avoidant. At least where I work in the Midwest. I can think of very very few times where I have been able to be direct without hurting a boss or customer relationship.
i've thought about this with mediocre seltzers. like the experience of the can is so much of it. you go to the fridge, the can is cold. the can is heavy. the first sip gives an electric fizz of carbonation. the can gets warmer. then its flat. then its done. and you had a ritual experience
They sent an email saying they are doing AONO at the parish attached to my kid's school and I wonder if this is finally the thing that makes the parishioners bug out.
