ICYMI: A new episode of Tea and Sanctuary went live this week to give you cosiness and low-stakes comforting chat. Audio only can be found here: teaandsanctuary.com/e/tea-and-sa... and video on YouTube here: youtu.be/i3vEhu-JaIc
I hope you find it soothing and a respite from... everything.
Emma, I love these podcasts. I still have some advent ones left and am keeping them for when spirits (or energy) are low but jobs must get done. you are a delight to listen to, I'm so glad you share your thoughts and memories and tangents with us
(Also can I just say just from your stories I've developed a deep fondness for your grandma. she sounds absolutely wonderful and your description of her is so warm and full of love)
I immediately want to be your friend every time I listen to them! they are wonderful! I love hearing how other people see the world and what small things bring them joy and where they struggle and how they face that. it's so so humane and lovely.
We caught up with this episode last night, and it was (of course!) very lovely. As well as nodding a lot as you recounted your strategies in social situations, we were entranced by the tale of the stuffed animal vet. This essential book by Glen Knape is one of the treasures of our home library...👇
I'm immensely grateful to you for talking so openly about 'brain weasels' and other such creatures. Mine have the upper hand most of the time, so I find some confort in knowing that I'm not the only one facing them. Thank you, you lovely being!
