It’s quite funny that the supporting cast is all Irish character actors and Tom Cruise looks and sounds like an alien next to them.

This movie really does lean heavily into the whole ‘faith and begorrah’ tropes. This film is set in 1892! The West of Ireland wasn’t this backwards by that point!

The thing about bare knuckle boxing is that they deliberately didn’t punch each other in the head because you’d break your fist on their skull. Bare knuckle boxing was largely core body focused.
This film really does rely on ‘Fighting Irish’ stereotypes
And then they snag a piece of land that until recently had belonged to the Creek and Seminole peoples to call home in the great Oklahoma land rush.
