Literally opened the door and had yet more shit fall into my lap yesterday. It's like the universe is trying to undo everything good thing that ever happened to me piece by piece.
I feel very Job right now. A whale's mouth might be a nice vacation, in fact.
So forgive me if I'm saucy to doomers, but I'm facing my home, partnership, animals, and finances all possibly evaporating within a year, and that's without politics making it worse.
Despondency isn't helpful. I need to trust my community to keep building while I tackle my crisis.
I got so little energy because it ALL must be dedicated to the insane ball juggling I'm doing right now just to maintain solvency. But I try to encourage and inspire and point in the right direction cuz it's what I CAN do despite everything.
Also, news for the "Why must I vote to keep fascists out? Where's my permanent solution?" crowd.
That's how it works. It's not "vote once, then check out". It's a garden you constantly manage. Or the parasites spoil, including the dirt. So if you want Gen Alpha to have something to eat, work bitch.
If you're not satisfied with just voting, GOOD! There's more to be done for the garden. There's a lot of orgs working on that. They could use your help or dollars (not your cynicism).
But if you're not even gonna water the soil and just pray for rain, don't be surprised when the plants start dying.
I'd like to see us Millennials not fall into the same trap as the Boomers where the cynical ones do nothing and the rich assholes get their way. You KNOW there's shitty rich Millennials who are just as bad as our forebearers cheering on the shitshow. Counter them, actively.
