I don't always (tbh, often, heh) agree with the winner of this competition, but the semifinals onwards are a great way to get a spotlight on self-pubbed fantasy that very often gets lost in the shuffle, and each year I've got 1 or 2 absolute gems I've really enjoyed from reading blurbs of said semis

My cancer surgery is tomorrow (the Tuesday after blankety-blank Daylight Savings time, I might add) and I have to be at the hospital at 5:45AM. That's A as in Apple and M as in 'why are Mornings so early in the day???'. Wish me luck I guess? XD See you all on the flip side! 😎

Update on my not updating much. I have just been diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer. No I didn’t know there was a stage 0 either. It is 100% survivable and 100% treatable. It’s called ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).
