Me: Hi, Safeway live chat, our groceries aren't here yet and it's past the delivery time.
Safeway: I'll let the store know!
Act 2
Me: Hi, the store hasn't gotten back to me and it's been an hour.
Safeway: Oh. Well, I'll re-escalate, here's the store's direct number and we'll waive the delivery fee.
Email: You got a $4.99 refund!
Me: Cool.
Act 3
Me: Hi, the store hasn't gotten back to me and when I call, it just rings and then hangs up.
Safeway: Looks like you've already been refunded.
Me: No, I haven't. Just the $4.99.
Safeway: Nope, they just refunded your whole order. Should be in your account in 5-7 business days.
Me: ... OK.
Act 4
Me: Hi, it's been 7 business days and I don't have a refund yet.
Safeway: Today is the 7th business day. You need to ask tomorrow.
Me: .....okay.
Act 5
Me: Hi, it's now the 8th business day and I don't have a refund yet.
Safeway: We never processed a refund for you. Just the delivery fee.
Me: ... I SPECIFICALLY ASKED ABOUT THAT.
Safeway: I've refunded it now. Should take 5-7 business days.
Me: Sure. Thanks. I don't believe anyone anymore.
