My TikTok app willl show me a bunch of people who liked or commented, but then they will also send a single email that just says, "Crumb_Lord likes your video." Why did Crumb_Lord's like get singled out for me? Does his influence with the crumbs push his activity to the "must email" level?

Not to be corny but I do think the ongoing aspiration to make America a pluralist democracy of equals is righteous, beautiful, and worth honoring, even if it has more often been the struggle of minorities & dissenters than the policy of the government. 🇺🇸

Karen Bass just announced that LA is looking into a mask ban and it is a move that would essentially ban me from public life. I am humbly asking, if you are an LA resident, please call the mayors office and tell them about what it would do to those of us who have no choice but to mask for health.

Bluesky really started to hum for me when I got these settings dialed in.

Oh my gosh. Just let disabled people be alive. I'm not in LA, so I don't have much sway, but mask bans are a bad bad bad bad idea.

As with all of this--it hits people of color the hardest. I'm strongly urging everyone *and white folks especially* in LA to speak out against any possible mask bans. It's a moral imperative we use our privilege to help keep everyone safe who wants to wear a mask in public.

It took awhile, but now we have a second visitor in our Bird Buddy collection. We had a whole group of house finches hopping in and out of our feeders today!

Obviously I might be a little biased as a theater teacher myself, but... Yes.

I’m now firmly of the opinion that a lot of the problems we’re facing in society right now could be cured by more art in schools, not less.
