I suppose that could be argued if you include all meat production & consumption in all cultures worldwide for all purposes.
At the end of the equation, though, you're still hyperfocusing through one lens that matters to you & expecting everyone else to go along.
You're making a moral assessment of the world, finding it wanting, & that's very convenient, because it gives you a baseline question you can always run home to when you have a hard moral judgement: but what if we eliminate consumption of meat!
