I’m a day late on an installment payment and they call me. I’ve waited 2 months for the iPad credit (which equals what I owe them).
I should be able to charge interest and late fees on the rebate Google hasn’t sent me yet for my iPad return. It’s what they’re doing to me. Turnabout’s fair play.

One of the things I love about big corporate clients who decide I'm "just a little guy"—my contracts have payment due dates and spelled-out late fees. They sign and then try to say "Oh, we're Net30!" and I point to what they signed and say "I'm not. Looking forward to seeing that check on Tuesday."

I just learned about the Net30 and Net15 terms and got a client to switch to 15 because that’s what my contract and invoice said. (Small client but I was thankful.)

Small clients can be reasoned with. And sometimes "small guys" in big clients are awesome—no lie, one the best I ever had was Chase Manhattan! I was 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 young, and the guy (friend of friend) was cool; asked me my quote, and then said "Yeah, we'll double that 'cause that's the budget we set aside."
