What I've learned is that terminally online people are more concerned about having the best takes than they are about what actually happens in the real world in response to their actions. They absolve themselves of responsibility through rhetoric.

'violence is not the answer' is taught that by the state, who literally owns the rights to violence (the police are their domestic branch). Property rights are enforced by violence. All laws are. Violence is, sometimes, absolutely the answer and people have been brainwashed to think otherwise.
