This is something Democrats struggle with generally--connecting the threats to democracy with the broader policies Americans hate. It's not that they oppose democracy *and* abortion; they oppose democracy *because* they oppose abortion.

Or free speech, or libraries, or civil rights, a pluralistic society, paid leave, affordable college, you name it. They do not trust you with self-governance because they do not trust you with self-determination, period.
