Same park had ouzel (American dipper), deer and we even encountered a baby heron (GBH probably), slowly picking its way along the path on those gangly legs. I am still ID-ing new, interesting native plants there though and the beaver family (Ward, June and Beaver Cleaver) were often out at dawn
Ward Cleaver Beaver also slapped his tail in warning, a couple times when family was out swimming at dawn. Still lots to see, if you really look, can be quiet and patient.
