So, among Black folks you'll sometimes hear us discuss around Black History Month and Juneteenth how nobody really agrees when slavery truly ended. Inevitably some White folks will show up to Whitesplain to us emancipation. We know, but we also know stories. Like this:

Hi, #adoptee here. In my adoption file it states that my Christian adopters wanted a child with university potential. How does one determine uni potential in a new born? In 1968, it was code for white. My adopters were racist evangelicals and my adoption file proclaims it. Adoption is racist. π₯
