Why not just translate what they're saying? Fortunately I understand them, but it seems weird to not do it.

When subtitles have lil jokes like that "Speaking nonsense" is my fav. I truly love it.

If it were a joke thing, I'd be down with it. A good joke is a good joke. But If its just (Speaks French) when all they're doing is asking "what happened" it seems silly to not just write "(Speaking French: What happened?)"

I feel ya. Still my fav uses of onscreen subtitles in a fun way is both "Stranger Then Fiction" (2006) "Nightwatch" (2004)

It's so lazy!
