Turns out the $24m estimate for PSDs was, unfortunately, *per station*, BUT it would be cheaper now that 2-car trains are retired, and if they used mid-height rather than full-height doors for the outdoor stations.

we don't have this in nyc. at least since i've been there in ~2013. in fact i recall doing the damm fool thing of running across two sub platform level tracks to meet my friend on the opposit side instead of running up to street level and across that way and down again. ah to be young and foolish
