Love the argument about fear, here, both in the post and in the newsletter. I haven't watched the Puss in Boots movie (yet), but it's convinced me to do so.
Both Batman and James Bond used to get *scared out of their wits*, and that was when they were actually cool. Heroes who get terrified ROCK.

It's great. It's a really moving, actually. It's amazing what happens when a hero is actually confronted with something that has an emotional impact on him... and it's not just about quips and zingers. An action movie can have great set pieces, but it can ALSO have emotional depth.
