In terms of technical usage, whatever your discipline says it means is correct. In terms of common usage, I'm afraid that ship has sailed, and 'psychopathy' means "the state of being a psychopath" as often as it has the technical meaning. 1/2 #EtymologicalFallacy

Oh sure there’s a lot more to be said there even beyond your point My only purpose in posting this is to make a distinction, for the vast majority of people who confuse them, that what people experience in bipolar is not equivalent to a persistent social disorder
