I'm excited because some of the characters named means that "Brief Lives" will be a part of season 2. It is the best Sandman story (imho).

I would be very surprised if we got Brief Lives. My bet is Season of Mists plus Fables and Reflections / Song of Orpheus. We can't have Brief Lives until after A Game of You, and there is definitely not time in one season for Season of Mists *and* Game of You *and* Brief Lives.

Barnabas and, indeed, Destruction, appear in which other story?

I feel like they may tease Destruction’s current location this season to set up Brief Lives next season. But who knows!
