It’s important to hate read some stuff now and then. Not awful, bigoted or morally perverse stuff, but stuff you don’t like for stylistic reasons, stuff other people like but you don’t. Gotta read it so you can remind yourself why you hate it, which helps you appreciate the stuff you like even more.
