But I have clarity on one thing: He should absolutely not step down as president.

Especially with Johnson claiming that he was appointed by God to be Speaker ("I believe that Scripture, the Bible, is very clear: that God is the one who raises up those in authority") and that he is a "new Moses." God put him there. He wouldn't let a vote for a new Vice President come to the floor.
