People are so weird. We had three vegan side dishes at our Thanksgiving meal without any special planning, and if there had been any vegans in attendance I would have made a vegan nut loaf.
I once made Thai curry paste that called for dried New Mexico chiles, but in the southwest you can buy them at different heat levels, and I used the spiciest. Then the finished curry called for a CUP of curry paste. I thought I might die.
