At the end of the day Penny is a Tory so her turning on us to climb the greasy pole is about unexpected as hearing someone's pet Tiger attacked them.

Everyone kinda does because trans people are born to Cis families and have always been part of our society. Our main oppressors are normally the ones closest to us who lay the boot in the hardest.

She was courting the LGBTQ vote? I had no idea... Or maybe I forgot as it was so many events ago.

For years Penny was one of the rare things, a good Tory. She was very pro LGBTQ+ people, I think she even got an award locally at some point. Then it was Leadership election time and suddenly trans people were ok to target to keep up with the other candidates.

I was unaware. Nice to see her lose her seat. And nice to see Greens gain 4 🏳️‍⚧️😀.
