Starting to understand Street Fighter 6 a little more. I'm absolutely a Modern Controls scrub now, and have yet to even attempt playing online, but I don't feel like a newborn deer getting pummelled anymore. Progress!

I'm a few days deep in pure study/ self development mode and the feeling of actually learning and improving remains unmatched. Even if the lessons are small, even if the new territory covered is tiny, those are hard won millimeters. g"AI" users deny themselves this pure joy.

Seems fitting that one of the first things I see when I start Forza Horizon 4 again is @ianfay.bsky.social's horrific Family Guy car, stopped in the middle of the road and blocking traffic in Edinburgh.
Heads up that Forza Horizon 4 (the one set in the UK) is getting delisted at the end of this year, as has happened to the games before it due to licensing issues. It's currently on sale on Steam, so grab it while you can.

This is a war between management consultants and the rest of the world. They have harnessed the tech industry as a means of prolonging the growth-at-all-costs rot economy. The poison of growth has taken big tech down a very dark path. They must have more.
Our tech overlords would like to make clear that your fantasies of universal health care and affordable housing are childish while their fantasies of infinite energy to power their AI girlfriends are reasonable expectations and will come true imminently. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
AI is exhausting the power grid. Tech firms are seeking a miracle solution.www.washingtonpost.com Some data centers need as much energy as a small city, turning companies that promised a clean energy future into some of the most insatiable guzzlers of power
