But also, we're not supposed to judge them by the people that march with them, because it's not fair to them somehow (I don't understand it either)

Those that rage the loudest (see Catholic priests and Evangelical pastors to name but 2) are the most likely engaging in the crimes they rage against. It's a self loathing thing. The strongest anti-LGBTQ crowd is made up of a high percentage that are closet and hate themselves for it.

It's sadly not as hypocritical as it seems. These guys are open about hiding their "power level" by saying whatever they have to to get "normies" to help them achieve their ends. They'd call LGBTQIA people...aardvarks if they thought it would make their lives harder.

In case this reads like an apologia, I mean it as a "know your enemy" thing. CSA could be rampant in this group; it's not going to stop them from using it to attack the LGBTQ+ community. "I know the kids are fine; I just want all non-cis and non-straight people wiped from the earth" is a bad slogan.
