It’s unbelievable, but people in Ukraine - at least here in Bucha - are now really celebrating the Christmas Eve and Christmas in the new, “western style” on December 25. There’s shopping craze, Christmas carols all around. Ukraine in 2013 and Ukraine in 2023 are two totally different countries.

Re-reading Nevil Shute's 'On the Beach.' Oh, how I'd want to write such a book myself.

It’s unbelievable that it took Robert Heinlein just 13 days to write The Door into Summer. I took me 3 months to complete my book, and the only thing I was dreaming of was to dive into “cold sleep”, too, to never ever see a laptop again. Trying to do a decent work of writing is beyond exhausting.
