I. Have complicated feelings about it! I do not think you will appreciate "MaXXXine" at ALL without seeing "X." Like, you would be doing yourself a disservice. But at the same time, I think the currently-out films play better chronologically ("Pearl," then "X") than in release order!

Can you watch the third without having seen the first two?

Ya they wrote the whole thing while shooting and stayed longer in new Zealand to immediately shoot it.

I'd never heard of 'X'; didn't know 'Pearl' was a prequel. Literally just watched the latter today! (Really liked it)
