not to mention if you found these online in the first place, they've most likely already been mushed up in some kind of algorithm with unfathomable amounts of other reference photos specifically of hands and a fat lot of good they've done for it so far
It's important to keep in mind of AI Generated Inbreeding: since there is so much AI art now AI generation is at threat because it is using AI art to generate AI art cause it to be built off of it's own flaws.

Fully agreed. However there are apps out there that change a few pixels in an image that make said image unusable by AI, confusing it on what the photo/art is even depicting. It's a good idea to filter every image you ever post online through that x3
Not really. You can confuse a self-driving AI into thinking a Stop Sign is another type of road sign, just by putting a sticker on it

I wish the search engines themselves would filter out AI images, because I’m never searching to find one, and they’re getting in the way of finding human-made creations of all sorts.
The AIs already have a million images like this. The problem AI has is that all it knows is that these are 'hands', but has no idea what hands actually are or what they do, and so it combines these images at random
And because the dipshits who are training it, themselves haven’t had an arts education worth a shit, I doubt they’ve even trained it to understand that the wrist is a 3D joint, and every knuckle of the fingers is a 2D joint with separate rotation constraints.
Well it's not AI on the sense you're thinking, so they can't really train it to understand anatomy and 3D form. There is no teaching it about the structure of hands because it creates likely output of 2D pixels. It doesn't "know" facts because it isn't intelligence.
The reason it struggles with hands and teeth is because even a kindergartner starts with the knowledge of five fingers, but "AI" is mimicking common pixel patterns associated with a prompt.

Their arrogance is unfathomable. It is without fathom.
Whether in text or imagery, AI sucks at context and metaphor, and because it has no physical presence (much less a sense of morality) I’m not even convinced it fully understands 3D. The concept of a hand moving in space viewed from different angles, hasn’t fully penetrated its “brain.”
