I mean, if it is possible that this results in sending a bowl of snot to some neighbors, I DO happen to live in an HOA neighborhood...

It's a roll of the dice. Maybe the bowl of snot goes to an awesome neighbor by mistake. You can blame (megacorp) for the error either way
