This feels like it is a bit wild of an ask but I should be turning up at least things in the right domain. So far lots of floppy gooseneck lamp things. Which I wish would actually be good but 99% of goosenecks are trash.

The better me, the inner me, has been a 3d printing person for years & would happily craft together something with sticks and prints and paper and diffusion cloth.

More near to hand, I do intent to finally do some embedded work this decade, those ESP32-Cx chips and zephyr driving some led strips. Alas maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, but it seems like there's basically no high-ish power CCT addressable led strips?
