Seattle summer is eating rainier cherries and watching the sunset at 9pm
My brain is primed to associate Seattle with rain, so for a long moment I thought "rainier" was the comparative of "rainy" in this sentence 🙈
Everyone talks about Fran’s, or Hot Pot donuts or a bag of Dicks, but they forget about the cherries.
I used to have to drive my partner to the ferry before sunrise so I'd wake up with Pike Place Market for several hours before going to work myself. I lost track of how many pounds of Ranier cherries I ate that summer.
And swimming in a freezing lake ❤️
One of the saddest things is having a beautiful Rainier cherry tree in my yard that doesn’t fruit!
So many good cherries. Lived in Snoqualmie for many years. Beautiful area.
And it is a great way to spend an evening
I hate summer. In Italy is so hot!
