I love the idea of little study packages! Or maybe walton's own knowledge is so shallow that he thinks VF is saying deep things while really he's...not?
I like that idea. Victor is making trite comments about great works that he's never read (just heard about from Clerval) and Walton thinks he's actually being brilliant.
