Please come at my kid’s English teacher—she doesn’t believe in GNs or ebooks as “real” books. It’s so aggravating!

I was thinking more like a literal bludgeoning object than a lovely article. It’s frustrating how closed-minded she is about this. It’s a class meant to encourage kids to earn honors credit, so why restrict materials that might foster the intrinsic motivation for reading that leads to achievement? 🙄

Ughhh such an ableist, basic opinion. Does she think audiobooks are useless too? What is her understanding of neurodivergence and accessibility? Does she consider contemporary novels to be crap because they're not the classics, either? Why is she perpetuating this outdated, Victoriana snobbery?

My kid is reading ebooks at night and making up page numbers based on the percentage completed x the number of pages listed for the dead tree edition of the book. I’ll fight for them if necessary.
