In recent conflicts, such indirect deaths range from 3-15x the number of direct deaths. Applying a conservative estimate of 4 indirect deaths per 1 direct death to the 37396 deaths reported, it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186 000 or even more could be attributable to the war in Gaza.

The operation in Gaza is meant to rid it of Palestinians by a combination of slaughter, starvation, and — if anyone will take the refugees — ethnic cleansing. The plan for the day after is to annex the strip in the name of Israel and redevelop it for Jewish settlers. Enough pretending otherwise.

University of Stavanger will end all institutional agreements with Israeli universities and not enter into new agreements until Israel ends its war on Gaza. A small step but this does not end until we get a boycott to end the occupation of #Palestine.
