Thank you for this. My family are skipping the local Fourth of July parade because they said it has become too political. I said it should be political! (Although more kids on bikes wouldn’t hurt.)

Impressive pickleball contingent, however.

My old neighborhood here had a wonderful parade every year, but alas not where we live now. Really miss it.
