Can we not do this, UPS drivers are literally out there being hospitalized and dying because the company refuses to so much as put fans in the trucks. This strike threat comes one year after Esteban Chávez died, 2 years after José Cruz died and UPS did nothing to mitigate driver risks.

I understand why you are upset and I apologize for accidentally cavorting so strenuously on the desk. It was destructive (sorry) but also maybe you should get a tether for the new monitor. Let’s categorize this as a near-miss event

Climate change is disproportionately harming the child laborers. Maybe we should just tear this all down and start over

Heat stress is is a deadly risk for farm workers, and it’s even more dangerous for child workers. Farm workers are excluded from many child labor laws. Their little bodies have less surface area, produce less sweat, and generate more “exertional heat” than adults. This strawberry worker is 7.

Jose Luis is harvesting oranges in Bakersfield CA. The work is usually piece rate. Workers tell us the average rate is $24 for a 900 lb bin - though the exact amount depends on orange variety. If they work rapidly, workers usually average 4 - 5 bins in a 8 hr day.
