I often joke about this obscene behavior by comparing it to The Daily Caller, but even Tucker Carlson’s website is less pathologically focused on forcing Biden out. It’s really hard to overstate how unethical, unprofessional, and antisocial the NYT has become.

They run pieces compromised by conflicts of interest they don’t disclose. They run an open double standard. The same playbook that helped immiserate thousands of trans kids is now being turned on the election. Lies and bullies, drunk with presumed power.

I’ve made this point broadly but it also applies to newspapers and the teevee. The New York Times is a pristine example of how embracing transphobia as a guiding ethos inevitably leads to embracing fascism.
It can’t be repeated enough: transphobia is a warning sign for fascism. The rights of trans people are a canary in the mine, and when they’re assaulted it means we are all under assault.
